Guidelines
(Based on thoroughbred) SIZE 0 Below average to average size newborn foal (Will take foal to approximately 1 week of age, then into size 1 for further 2-4 weeks) SIZE 1 Average to above average newborn foal (Will take foal to approximately 2 weeks of age, then size 2 for a further 2-4 weeks) SIZE 2 Most foals will have moved to Size 2 by three weeks of age SIZE 3 Most foals will have moved to Size 3 by six to eight weeks of age SIZE 0 - 53-58cm SIZE 1 - 60-78cm SIZE 2 - 68-78cm SIZE 3 - 80-92cm Measurements are based on foal length - base of neck to tail butt. Design Features • Strapless • No external or protruding buckles, straps or fittings • Short sides, hence no flapping of excess material • Very quick to outfit and remove rug • Outfitted and removed from only one side • Allows total freedom of movement of foal • 'Wraps' the foal 360 degrees, providing a snug fit and covers all vital organs •A super-wide belly flap allows for more total warmth and protection from moisture • Square fronted overlapping chest flaps for a superior fit and reduced rubbing •100mm adjustable range on both belly flap and chest flaps for the growing foal • Fully lined with premium quality wool blend material • Large tail flap and buttock strap allows for greater protection from adverse weather •Outer shell made from a material that has the unique combination of rip-proof, waterproof, lightweight and breathable qualities |
